Cambridge, MA – Green Street Studios’ Fall Emerging Artist Award recipients present Edge of A Blur. The Emerging Artist Award provides the opportunity for young, New England based choreographers to create work with mentorship from experienced choreographer, Alissa Cardone. This project provides choreographers with a small amount of rehearsal space and a fully-produced, shared concert with other emerging artists.
Kee Chin recently premiered his first Dance solo. His new group piece “All In One” is loosely based on the idea of diversity and the idea that we all come from the same ‘root.’ It strives to challenge the audience’s perception of dance.
Emily Estes new piece “Vacuum Domicilium,” will explore the concept of emptiness from various perspectives. Estes has danced for EgoArt, Inc. among others while working on her own projects since moving to New England 3 years ago from Indianapolis.
Joanne Kim presents “Diva Means Goddess”, a work about the indecisions over modern and spiritual values. Kim, a Boston native, graduated from Dartmouth College in 2005.
Stacey Swan presents a choreographic debut, “relics remaining,” a solo exploring introspection, restraint, and release. Swan has been performing and teaching dance in Boston for the past two years after receiving her BA in Dance and BS in Communications from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She has performed with Tandem dance and Kelley Donovan and Dancers.
